The research work of the TRR 188 is accompanied by an industrial advisory board. The composition of the industrial advisory board is guided by the forming process chains considered in the TRR 188 and by participating areas of expertise. Therefore, material and semi-finished product manufacturers, technicians from bulk forming and sheet metal forming, component users as well as companies from the fields of software and measurement technology are represented.
The members of the industrial advisory board get together once a year for a one-day meeting where the current R & D results of the TRR 188 are presented and discussed. The research association receives important impulses for further research activities by the experience and suggestions from industrial practice. In addition, the involvement of the industrial community ensures that research retains its long-term application relevance.
